Do you love being on the road most of your day? Does the crisp Vancouver air call you out of the office spaces?  Do you have 2 or more years of commercial 5T driving experience? If yes, we may have a job for you! Be a part of the most important events in the lives of our customers

Job Summary

We are looking for experienced 5T drivers who would make timely deliveries to private residences, businesses, and event sites throughout the city. The capacity to safely drive and park a 5T truck in busy traffic downtown is the most important skill we are looking in candidates. Heavy lifting is part of this job, since you help load and unload the order. You have excellent customer service skills, as there is extensive customer contact with this position. An incident free drivers license is required. Candidates must be open to some late-night shifts

Logistics Manager

Job Duties

1. Pre-load the items on the truck from warehouse

2. Drive between the client sites and company sites

3. Unload items at the customer site

4. Onsite set-up of equipment

5. Some equipment testing on-site may be needed.

6. Pick-up items from the site at the end of the event and drop off at the warehouse

Machines to be used

3 to 5 ton trucks with lift gate

Hand Dollies

Qualification

Class 5 Driver's Licence

Experience

Min 2 years of commercial 5T driving experience

Skills

The capacity to safely drive and park a 5T truck in busy traffic downtown

Knowledge of Metro Vancouver area and a good sense of direction

Patient and able to endure time consuming activities

Enjoys road trips

Team Player, courteous and congenial

Responsibility

Responsible to keep trucks tidy and clean

Notify logistics manager in case of any issues with the vehicle

Thursday - Monday: 40 hours a week; rotational shifts available

2-3 times a month

Working Conditions

Warehouse (10%), on the road (90%), may need to travel to remote locations

Ability to lift 50lbs

Dress Code

Dark Jeans, khaki’s, or work pants are allowed till the time they are not torn or in bad condition; Unacceptable pants are: faded jeans, sweatpants, jogging pants. Closed toe shoes only. Company shirts and jackets are provided as uniform

Additional Notes

Late evening or night shifts or overtime shifts is a reality in this role, especially during peak season - Employees will be compensated accordingly
