Lonsdale Event Rentals to Reopen with Provincial Government Phase 3 Reopening Plan
We are excited to announce that we plan to reopen our operations alongside the Provincial Governments Phase 3 Reopening Plan. We are anticipating this to take place June 1, 2020.
At this time and until further notice our showroom viewing will remain closed. Please contact us for specific details about any products or photos required.
We have been working hard to ensure we are able to operate as safely as possible; following the strict guidelines provided by WorkSafeBC.
We may, however, need to revisit our reopening plan should the Provincial Government amend their Phase 3 reopening date.

Lonsdale Event Rentals Cautiously Available for Rental Services
Together, as a community, our efforts to Flatten the Curve have been a successful way of keeping the COVID-19 case numbers down in BC. As we slowly start to receive requests for rentals, we will revisit our operations and, working together with Government and Public Health Agencies’ recommendations, will gradually open our operations back up.
We have put together a plan to ensure our customers and staff are working under the safest conditions, following the recommendations made by WorkSafeBC and the Public Health Agencies.
Because of this, some regular services may be amended or not available, and our transportation fees and minimum order value to qualify may be adjusted to accommodate.
We thank you immensely for your continued support and dedication in using us, Lonsdale Event Rentals, as your event rental supplier.

Lonsdale Event Rentals Fight to Flatten The Curve of Covid-19 Continues
All of our efforts together, to Flatten the Curve, seem to be working. As such, we have made the difficult decision to continue our temporary pause in operations.
We are, however, eager to help our Public Health and other Essential Services keep their employees and customers safe during this time. If you have a need for rental products to keep your employees or customers safe and distant during their time in your establishment, please reach out to our team and we will do what we can to accommodate your needs.
We have extreme safety measures in place to ensure your establishment can accommodate the social distancing guidelines. None of the rentals collected during this time are being brought back into the building. We have designated one truck only for essential service needs, to ensure our facility remains sterile.
We thank you for your continued support; we are very much looking forward to getting through these challenging times and hope for improved conditions in the near future.

Lonsdale Event Rentals Fight to Flatten The Curve of Covid-19
Like the rest of the world, we have been closely monitoring the fast-changing conditions of COVID-19.
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce Lonsdale Event Rentals will temporarily pause operations and rental services effective Tuesday, March 17th until April 1st, due to the COVID-19 conditions.
Our Customer Service Management Team will be available during business hours via email, phone calls and social media messaging. We believe our best course of action is to immediately support the government’s Social Distancing measures in hopes of “flattening the curve” and minimizing the health & welfare impacts on our customers, employees, and community.

COVID-19: Health and Safety in the Workplace and our Community
We, at Lonsdale Event Rental, are taking the health and safety of our employees and customers alike very seriously.
We are taking extra precautions in our office, the warehouse and on the road.
- We sanitize (with straight bleach) all surfaces; doorknobs, delivery carts, desks, phones, computers, at least twice daily.
- We are asking employees who do not feel well to stay at home.
- They must be symptom free for 72 hours prior to returning to work. If a fever was present, they must take temperature twice daily for 72 hours and be below 38.1 in order to return to work.
- Anyone returning to work after feeling unwell needs to be reviewed by management prior to returning to work.
- Operations are wearing gloves when handling any used rental products, and are being washed/sanitized more quickly.
- In regards to cancellations, postponements and order quantity reduction, our regular policies still apply:
- All final changes should be called in and confirmed with an associate by 5pm, 3 days prior to your scheduled order out date.
- After this time, a 25% cancellation fee applies to anything removed from the order, or the entire rental value if the order is being cancelled completely. This also applies to postponements, however, you may be eligible to receive the cancellation fee back as a credit on the postponed event, as long as a new quote is built at this time. The credit will not be applied to your account, only to this exact event, should it take place at a later date.
- 100% cancellation fees for any cancellations made on the order out / delivery date noted on the rental order. If the pickup is scheduled for another day, we will happily waive that fee.
We do not have any plans to close operations during this outbreak, as we supply rental items for all of life’s events, and can be a community resource for items that may be required throughout this difficult time.
We are being very diligent to remain up to date on information provided by the World Health Organization and our government to ensure we are providing the most aware and health-conscious service possible.
